I just recently discovered the Kibbe and Kitchener systems and have become obsessed with style essences and style IDs. I have been dying to know what mine are, to better understand what styles really enhance my features, what styles clash with my lines and silhouette, etc. Nona did what she promised and really provided great insight.
Nona provided several detailed videos that were each several minutes long, describing my body shape, bone structure, etc. and taught me how to dress to honor my silhouette. She provided very honest critiques on some of my outfits which was incredibly helpful! She described my overall essence and how to allow my personality to shine through in my clothing (something I really had never considered). She is very great at describing things in a way which is easy to understand which is why, after seeing some of her video examples, I knew I had to hire her. Her insights were fascinating!
This exercise really resulted in action for me. My husband took me to the mall the following weekend and we carefully selected a few perfect pieces to add to my wardrobe. I came across Nona while researching Kibbe ID consultation reviews on Reddit. There were a few recommendations for other consultants but there were so many positive reviews about Nona. I decided to check out her website and YouTube channel. On her YT channel, you get a sense of who Nona truly is. I consulted Nona through the recorded style analysis in an attempt to update my wardrobe. Nona is very approachable, clear, and succinct in her analysis and she’s always very accommodating to questions. She breaks down images through details like shape and line interactions which clearly showcases her technical knowledge and her ability to catch micro details, but she also has a very refined and artistic eye which is able to appreciate the harmony of an overall aesthetic and the larger picture. I first knew about Nona from her YouTube videos while I was trying to figure out my Kibbe type. I did the Written Analysis at first and finding out my type (FB) was very revelatory to me and Nona explains everything so well that you start seeing yourself in a different light, in a more kind and fun way. Her analysis and pin suggestions were so clever and life changing to me that I decided then to do the 6 Week Style Refinement Intensive, which I highly recommend if you think you can learn more from Nona and her powerful insights. What I think makes Nona stand out from the others doing similar things is that she not only gets your type from physical characteristics but she really gets right away your essence, what you are lacking or what you are going for. Sometimes we get into a stage in style and dressing that is just not serving us and Nona really helped me to shake things up. I feel much more confident with my choices and it is more fun getting dressed up. Something else that makes Nona very special is her SUPERB GOOD TASTE with clothing. If I had to put my experience into one word I’d say: wonderful! The booking was easy, the instructions very clear, and Nona is super friendly and helpful! I booked with another style-YouTuber before, where I received a cookie cutter info PDF, and no more response to a question about my (questionable) result afterwards…When I got my result from Nona’s written style analysis though, I was so impressed and happy with how thoughtful and personal the info was! A neutral and understandable breakdown of the personal lines, added general info and recommendations, and a highly personalized analysis of a variety of my outfits, including ideas for improving them. Also the Pinterest board she made is absolutely amazing! I purchased the Written Analysis with Nona as I wanted clarity on my Kibbe body type (I was hesitating between two types). I was extremely pleased with the personalised report Nona prepared. She dissected some of the outfits from the pictures I sent with what worked and what didn’t. She also gave me the standard Kibbe’s recommendations for my body type but adapted these to my own body, which was extremely helpful. She also prepared a Pinterest board with outfit ideas that would suit my lifestyle and style preferences and pointed to some carefully chosen celebrities who shared my body type for further inspiration. I knew I was a gamine but had never suspected Flamboyant Gamine for myself. Without her insight it may have been several years before I arrived at that conclusion if at all. I am interested in David Kibbe body typing so I had been watching several Youtube videos and that’s when I stumbled on Nona’s videos. The first video I watched was Nona’s critique of Zoe Saldana’s style and how she looks when she is not wearing her best lines. I thought this was excellent as Nona really honed in on Zoe’s style essence. I then watched her other videos and I just felt that Nona was so clever at spotting the best styles and essences of people and that’s when I approached her for her honest opinion about my body shape and lines as I was keen to stop making shopping mistakes. I sent her about 17 photos of me with different clothing styles. Firstly Nona sent me a detailed analysis of my body shape explaining what lines I have and the best styles and vibe of clothing to wear, including jewellery and shoes. In her feedback she included visuals (a mood board) as well as the written text analysis. She also sent me a critique of every outfit in my photos explaining what worked and what didn’t in each photo. I cannot say enough how helpful this process has been for me. It has given me the confidence to go through my wardrobe and to remove items that don’t suit my body shape and with Nona’s help I have now created mood boards, with all the styles that I should aim to wear or buy in the future which suit my type of body.
