Minimal-ish Capsule Wardrobe for the Kibbe Types: Soft Natural

Soft Natural Capsule Wardrobe

Hey everyone, welcome back! Today, we’re continuing my Minimalist Capsule Wardrobe for the Kibbe Types series, focusing on Soft Naturals. This is a non-exhaustive example—I won’t be covering professional or seasonal attire in this post, but I plan to make more specific recommendations in future content. My goal is to help you narrow down the most effective and versatile clothing options while leaving room for your personal preferences.

Camisole

A camisole is a must-have for Soft Naturals, as it beautifully complements their need for relaxed definition. It works effortlessly with both casual jeans and dressier trousers. To get the most versatility, opt for a slinky, slightly longer camisole that can be worn tucked in or left as is.

Relaxed Collared Button-Down

Soft Naturals frequently wear relaxed button-down shirts, and they always look amazing in them. The key is to choose natural, breathable fabrics with a soft, drapey quality. Look for cotton with a crepey, slightly sheer texture, which adds an effortless and elegant touch.

Tunic or Peasant-Inspired Top

Peasant-style tops are another staple for Soft Naturals. You can go for a conventional boho look, something exaggerated, or something more subtle. The most important aspect is relaxed draping—if the fabric is too crisp, the look becomes rigid. Prioritize soft, buttery textures to maintain that effortless flow.

Pencil Skirt

A high-waisted pencil skirt that falls above or at the knee is an essential wardrobe piece. It enhances the curves of Soft Naturals while maintaining an elegant, streamlined shape.

Slim Bootcut or High Waisted Ankle Jeans

Soft Naturals have a range of flattering denim options. If you’re more on the elongated, blunt side like Jennifer Aniston, a mid-rise slim bootcut is ideal. If you have a softer, more romantic undercurrent with slightly wider and gentler bones, explore styles that enhance your curves while maintaining a natural flow.

Curve-Hugging Dress with a Slit

A fitted dress with a slit is a fantastic option. It highlights curves while allowing for movement and sensuality. The slit can be placed at the thigh, rounded, or even positioned at the chest—whatever suits your style best.

Sleeveless Jumpsuit

The sleeveless jumpsuit is an amazing piece for Soft Naturals. It mirrors their athletic shoulder line while enhancing relaxed elongation. Look for a jumpsuit that has some sense of movement or texture.

Moto Jacket

A moto jacket is a great outerwear choice. You can go slightly boxy and wide, or opt for a longer, more tapered and form-fitting style. Both versions complement the Soft Natural aesthetic beautifully.

Belted or Draped Fur Coat

A fur coat looks effortlessly elegant and sassy on Soft Naturals. You can choose a raw-hemmed drapey waterfall style, a refined belted version, or a playfully voluminous cut. Each option enhances the natural softness and movement of this style type.

Outfit Combinations and Color Palette

For this selection, I leaned toward a light, muted palette with a pop of red. This was influenced by many Soft Natural examples I came across, particularly those with light spring blonde coloring. However, whatever palette you prefer, don’t hesitate to incorporate one bold, sensual color to add depth to your look.

I know Soft Naturals can be a tricky category because of the wide range of variation within the type. I plan to create more content covering the spectrum of Soft Naturals, since they can look so different from one another. However, that relaxed, curve-hugging definition and earthy elegance always looks phenomenal. I’ll see you in the next post! If you need help refining your style, check out my services.
