Introduction to Aries Rising Decan 1 in Astrology
Hi everyone, welcome back! I’m super excited to bring you this updated version of a series I did a few years ago on rising signs by decan. Today we are starting off with Aries Rising Decan 1 (0° to 9.99° Aries on the ascendant). I am going through the entire zodiac by decans in order so I apologize to Pisces Rising Decan 3 for having to wait the longest. I’m moving through these quickly because I find it so fascinating.
I’m using Astrotheme with tropical calculations as my reference. If you have any look-alikes or twins in mind, even if they don’t fall under the same rising sign, let me know in the comments. I love having more data. Lastly, if you need any styling services with an astrological twist, check out my website thealignedlover.com. Hope you enjoy.
General Facial Features of Aries Rising Decan 1

There was no single pattern that covered every person, and there are many influences that go into a person’s appearance. Even at an astrological level this is only one placement, but it is very prominent. Overall I observed the following traits in Aries Rising Decan 1:
- A shorter or wider forehead
- A pronounced and raised outer brow curve that can make the outer eye corner appear slightly downturned
- High angled cheekbones with lower-set apples, creating an angular or wide facial structure
- A straight nose bridge with a pronounced columella and narrow nostrils
- A longer midface without a very long overall face
- A blunt chin shape that may be rounded or squared, marked by a sudden change in direction
- A thinner but shapely upper lip paired with a slightly wider mouth
- Taut cheeks and apparent musculature, especially evident when smiling
Aries Rising Decan 1 features are sculpted with exaggerated width or length, and their beauty appears striking, raw and fresh—very much like Aries itself.
Celebrity Examples for Aries Rising Decan 1
Joan Collins and Julie London

Both share a narrow, short forehead and extremely wide cheekbones. They have the same jaw and chin shape, a straight nose bridge with slightly wider starting nostrils, and wide-spaced eyes with an exaggerated inner corner. Their brow bone shape makes the outer eyelid less visible, producing a more striking gaze. Both look powerful and glamorous; their faces are both unforgettable.
Sophia Bella and Nikki Reed

These two have almost identical face shapes, especially when sporting micro bangs at the same level. If you swapped their brows they would look even more alike. They both have straight nose bridges, sculpted cheekbones, matching mouth proportions, and a similar volume below the mouth. Their beauty feels headstrong and direct, yet still fresh.
Judith Butler and Miuccia Prada

Both possess a long midface (if you divide the face into thirds from forehead to brow, brow to nose tip and nose tip to chin, the middle third is most pronounced). They share a similar nose, eye placement and brow bone structure, which casts comparable shadows from temple to outer eye corner. Their lip shapes are also very close.
Sophie Turner and Lucy Lawless

Sophie Turner and Lucy Lawless share strong cheekbones, a defined jaw and a similar nose. Their wide-set eyes and powerful gazes give them a striking presence. Differences in brow shape affect how you perceive their facial balance, but both carry that unmistakable Aries warrior energy.
Nancy Kerrigan and Ana Paula Arósio

Nancy Kerrigan and Ana Paula Arósio have nearly identical facial proportions from forehead to chin. If you added a bit more fullness to Nancy Kerrigan’s upper lip they would look even more alike. Their vibe is athletic, powerful, direct and sculptural.
Colette Brosset and Giulietta Masina

Both share a delicate face shape with cropped wavy hair. They have saucer-like eyes, similar nose and mouth shapes, and a playful comedic energy that alludes to the more youthful and innocent side of the Aries archetype.
Joan Baez and Princess Margaret

This match isn’t as obvious as the others, but if you imagine their facial features placed within a grid, it is easier to see their resemblance in terms of proportions. Their nose shapes, mouth, smile lines and bone structures are also similar, which is more evident from a three-quarter profile.
Sandy Duncan and Joan Rivers

These two have almond-shaped eyes, similar brow bones and matching face shapes. Their direct, headstrong gaze and youthful energy embody Aries’ directness and innocence simultaneously.
Elizabeth Weiner and Shakira

Elizabeth Weiner and Shakira share similar eyes, nose length and slightly rounded squared nose tips. Their lips, cheekbones in smile and chin shape are nearly identical. I used images of Shakira with her natural dark hair to better highlight her bone structure and contrast, which can be less noticeable with lightened hair and brows.
Elaine Hendrix and Diane McBain

Both have matching brows, foreheads, nose shapes, cheekbones and chin. Their foxy but fresh look appears elegant, powerful yet unpretentious.
Laura Morante and Lucia Bose

These two share modelesque features: sculpted cheekbones, smaller foreheads, straight nose with a slightly pinched tip, defined jawlines and a similar chin. Their beauty is striking and and powerful.
Vaimalama Chaves and Heather Locklear

Despite having obviously different ethnic backgrounds, both beauties share the more youthful, innocent Aries look with rounded and larher cheek bones, dainty and slightly upturned mouths smiles, and saucer eyes.
Honorable Mentions for Aries Rising Decan 1
Not limited to the first decan, but worth noting:

- Angie Dickinson and Sandra Dee share the same brow bones, eye shapes, nose tip levels and lip shapes, giving a sweet yet sculptural look

- Amina Jovic and Penélope Cruz have matching eyes, nose bridges, filtrum lengths and lip shapes, creating similar vibes

- Brie Larson and Taylor Schilling could play sisters with their almost identical face shapes and nose structures; Taylor’s more elongated and lifted brows give her a slightly more innocent appearance. If they played sisters, Brie would be the elder of the two.
That is it for today’s deep dive into Aries Rising Decan 1. Next time we will explore Aries Rising Decan 2. Let me know if you have any samples I missed or if you’d like to see them in future videos. Thanks so much for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video.
